The piggies in Macon, Georgia seem to have their heads up their asses. Due to some poor judgment and excessive use of force, they almost cost Bridgett Donahue, 45, her life.

At 5am on Wednesday morning, Bridgett woke from her sleep to go to the bathroom. When she looked in the mirror, her face was swelled up fatter than Rosie O’Donnell at a hot dog eating contest.

“Bllllaaaarrrrggghhhh!”

Turns out, she was having a severe allergic reaction to pain meds from a previous surgery. Her tongue started swelling and her throat closed up, almost suffocating her. Immediately, she called 911 and requested an ambulance. The following events formed a cluster-fuck of embarrassing and amateurish responses from both the medical dispatchers and the Macon bacon:

1) Bridgett calls 911 and requests an ambulance around 5am.
2) Several minutes later, Bridgett’s mother also calls 911 and requests and ambulance for her.
3) After 10-15 minutes with no ambulance, another call was made to 911.

By this time, the 911 dispatcher heard screaming in the background. It was Bridgett crying and trying to come to terms with her impending death. The dispatcher notifies police of a domestic disturbance. Really, she just wanted a fucking ambulance. Wait a sec, isn’t 5am when the fresh donuts roll out?

“We got a call? Psh. Nothing happens at 5am… let’s finish our donuts.”

After waiting far too long for an ambulance, Bridgett’s husband Craig decided to take his wife and daughter to the hospital himself. As he was backing out of the driveway, the cops pulled up behind him and began questioning him about possible spousal abuse. Bridgett and her daughter were told to shut up after pleading with officers to let them go so they could get to the hospital. By this time, Bridgett’s entire body was swollen but the cops paid no attention despite her cries of pain.

Never tell a pig to get out of the way.

Craig got yanked out of the car and held at gunpoint by police until an ambulance arrived and picked up Bridgett a few years… err, minutes later. Neighbors claimed to have heard Craig screaming, “Don’t taze me, bro!”

If any cops are reading this, is there an explicit rule in your handbook that encourages you to be an asshole to civilians? Police are supposed to protect and serve dammit! If every cop in the country put down a donut and picked up some common fucking decency, then we would have nothing to worry about. Meanwhile, Britney Spears still gets a SWAT escort every time she has a nervous breakdown. I love America.
