You don’t need brains to go fishin’

It’s Friday afternoon and most of you are probably wrapping-up at work. Normally, that would mean you are finishing up your daily tasks and sending last-minute business e-mails. But most of you probably work at McDonald’s, so “wrapping-up” literally means that you are bagging burgers for people. Either way, your life sucks.
At least your life doesn’t suck as bad as Barry Shitmouth from Aurora, Colorado. Aside from having horrible breath, Barry has another problem – he’s dead. The Denver Post explains:
The Aurora man [Shitmouth] was fishing with friends about noon yesterday when his pole snapped. He jumped into the water to retrieve his pole and almost immediately called back to a friend, “I need help!”
A friend jumped in and grabbed Shitmouth, but in efforts to save himself, Shitmouth began to pull his friend underwater! The friend didn’t want to die too, so he let go and swam to shore and yelled for help.
Deep-water divers arrived an hour after the victim went missing. They found his body eventually, pronounced him dead at the scene, and an “Outstanding-But-Failed Rescue Attempt” certificate was awarded to his friend.

The pole died. It was broken. He never should’ve jumped in to save a broken pole. Plus, diving into freezing water is a bad idea.
