American film director, producer and writer John Hughes suffered a fatal heart attack during a morning walk in New York City today. He was 59-years-old.
John was best known for writing “Sixteen Candles,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “The Breakfast Club,” although my favorite movie of his was Flubber.

RIP John Hughes 1950-2009
Bonus: Whenever John helped write a shitty movie (any of the Beethoven movies), he used the pseudonym, Edmond Dantès. “I didn’t write it — Edmond Dantès did!”

Breakfast Club was my first Rated R movie in the theater. I was totally Ally Sheedy in high school, right down to the dandruff.
