Stoners reunited with lost bong

FLORIDA — When 23-year-olds Matthew Hawley and Mark Fiasco were arrested last week for drug possession, they thought nothing good would come of it.

The stoner duo was pulled over on Friday, and a search of Hawley’s vehicle turned up 30 grams of cannabis. Any amount over 20 grams is a felony in the Shitshine State. When asked what he planned to do with the weed, Fiasco replied, “Smoke the shit out of it.”

Surprisingly, police also discovered a long lost treasure in the trunk of Hawley’s car — a custom-made glass bong that had been missing for the last 7 years.

The missing bong was one of two bongs that Hawley and Fiasco co-purchased when they were in high school. One bong was broken by Fiasco’s brother while he was having sex, and the other bong was thought to have been stolen by an old roommate.

Fiasco said he was “pleased” that police had found it.

The bong was tested for marijuana residue, but the results were inconclusive — possibly because it hadn’t been used for seven years. Police did not comment on whether or not they would return the paraphernalia to its rightful owners.

Both men were booked into the Manatee County jail on felony drug possession charges, and if convicted, they face up to five years in prison.

Ironically, if they had split the weed into two 15 gram baggies and each put one in their pocket, it would have only been a misdemeanor charge for them. The law is neat, huh?

Have you ever gotten high and misplaced a bong for a long period? Comment below!

The law are like rules at school. “Everyone be quiet!” “Jason, where is your pencil…Jason…JASON!”
