UNITED KINGDOM — On the evening of March 19th, 24-year-old Khalid Khalifa (no relation to rapper Wiz Khalifa) was visiting his sister at the hospital — she had had just given birth.

However, what was supposed to be a joyous day ended with a nurse in her 60’s getting jump kicked in her kidney, and another female nurse getting put in a headlock and punched in the face ten times.

It all started when the two nurses approached Khalifa and accused him of buzzing relatives through security doors without the nurses’ permission. When they asked him to stop, Khalifa grew irate and started swearing at them. He furiously kicked a door like a tough guy and had to be restrained.

The older nurse quickly walked away to call security, but Khalifa broke free and chased her down. When he got a few feet away, he launched through the air like Liu Kang and Kung Fu kicked her right in the kidney. She shrieked and her 61-year-old body fell to the floor hard.

Riding a massive wave of adrenaline, Khalifa turned on the other nurse and put her in a headlock. He swung his other arm around and jabbed her in the face “over ten times in quick succession.”

Both nurses had to be taken to the hospital. Luckily, the nurses were already at a hospital and only had to be taken to another section of the building to be treated for their injuries. It took them weeks to recover and they had to undergo counseling. The older nurse suffered kidney damage from the jump kick.

Khalifa was arrested and charged with two counts of assault resulting in bodily harm. His attorney requested that he be spared jail time because he was a man of previous good character — plus, he even wrote the nurses and the hospital ward manager apology letters. How thoughtful!

The judge did not take pity on Khalifa though. He sentenced him to 8 months in jail — 4 months per nurse that he beat up. Some may argue that 8 months isn’t long enough. Remember, all this happened because he was asked to quiet down and not let hordes of relatives in to crowd a hospital corridor.

He jump kicked a 61-year-old nurse in the KIDNEY. I think that should warrant at least a year in prison. It’s not like he jump kicked a stupid baby — babies can recover, but old women can’t.
