TENNESSEE — Police arrested a man who was high on drugs and alcohol after he shot at a train with an AK-47. He wasn’t trying to harm any people though — just the train that killed his friend.

47-year-old Mark Bruce was mourning the loss of his friend Timmy Miracle — a tragically ironic name for a deaf mute. Miracle was walking on the tracks when he was struck and killed by a train last month.

A few days later, two train employees were conducting a safety check on a train when Bruce approached them with an AK-47. “You killed my friend, get the hell outta here,” he shouted.

The employees fled and Bruce fired a handful of rounds at the train itself. Luckily, it was unharmed.

The police were immediately notified of the shooting, and they were able to track down Bruce at his home a couple of days later. He confessed to the shooting when an AK-47 was found in his bedroom.

Bruce said that he was drinking heavily that night and doesn’t blame the railroad company for his friend’s death. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, and a $100,000 bond was set.

If Bruce had done this in India, there’s a good chance he would’ve killed several people.

It might be unfair to blame the alcohol or drugs this time. Look at Mark Bruce’s mugshot again and remember that he’s a 5-feet 5-inches tall ginger who hangs out at the train tracks with a deaf mute named Timmy Miracle. Some people were just born to grow up to be lunatics that shoot at trains.
