WASHINGTON — A 23-year-old woman was charged with reckless driving after she crashed into a vehicle driving next to her and caused it to veer off the road and roll over. The accident only occurred because the woman lost control while she was trying to flip the other driver “the bird.”

The woman grew agitated because she wanted to switch lanes, but couldn’t because someone else was there. That’s a good reason to get angry, right? How dare another car be in that lane! She lifted her arm across to the passenger-side window and turned up her middle finger.

As if by some cruel act of divine intervention, she immediately lost control of her car and clipped the rear end of the driver that she had just rudely gestured to, causing them to careen off the road and flip.

Road Rage and the two people in the car that flipped were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Remember, all this happened because a woman was angry that she couldn’t switch lanes.

According to a state patrol spokesman, the woman admitted guilt and expressed regret immediately after the incident. She was ticketed for reckless driving, and her insurance company will most likely absorb the damages to both vehicles, which will increase the cost of your insurance if you live in WA.

The majority of Sidecarsally readers are females, so I’ll avoid offending you by ranting about women drivers, and instead I’ll just ask that you all learn from this. Besides, the middle finger is old news — nowadays, you’re supposed to throw handfuls of loose change at your enemy.
